Navigating the Good

There are a couple different ways to navigate through Good Social Network. One of the best ways is the use the main menu bar at the top of the screen.

Home-Home is just what you would imagine. This link takes you back to your user homepage where you can see your newsfeed of the network (this can be customized to see only friends or the entire network), my tools (quick links to various content sections on the site), and widgets that you can add or remove at any time.

Profile-The profile tabs allows you to view your profile, update your profile and customize your profile. The profile page is the page that your friends and other members of the site will see.

Good Causes-The section of the site allows you to search through the list of organizations participating on Good Social Network. You can sponsor the causes, join the causes, recommend good causes or invite them to the site.

Messages-A place to check your GSN message center.

Friends-A place to see all your friends and to invite new ones. When inviting you can invite from your email address books (yahoo, gmail, hotmail) or you can link your facebook account to GSN from your profile page and invite your Facebook friends to the site. Remember that it is always more fun with your friends. The more people that come over the more we can do.

Goodies-Here you will find a list of all the cool features on Good Social Network. Want to upload a video? Blog? Tweet? Post a classified or a job?

Add to Favorites-This allows you to add any page that you like on GSN to your favorites. This is a quick way to bookmark it and save it for later.

When not using the main nav bar, the second best way to navigate is to use your tools on your user homepage. You will find the toolbox in the upper right corner across from your newsfeed.

See...not so bad :)
